This past weekend TomTom released its highly anticipated turn-by-turn navigation application for the iPhone. TomTom has been a leader in Navigation for a while so it’s a respectable name but I’m not sure if that’s enough to fork out the $99 for this app. For that kind of money you can buy a stand-alone system that is much more accurate and reliable. I would personally check out their rival iPhone app, CoPilot Live. It’s a lot cheaper running for just $34.99 and seems to be pretty nice. It has some good features like 3d views and spoken turn-by-turn instructions. A plus for both application is that neither of them make you pay a monthly subscription like the piece of sh!t AT&T TeleNav app.
